Nationwide — Kristopher BoClair, an African American man from Jackson, Mississippi, has pleaded responsible to second-degree homicide for stabbing his father, Kenneth BoClair, who was paralyzed and bedridden.
On November 30, 2022, Jackson police responded to a name from Kristopher’s mom, Lataunya Wallace, in Jackson, Mississippi. She reported that her son admitted to killing his father, in keeping with WLBT.
When officers arrived, they discovered Kenneth, 58, mendacity useless in his mattress with a number of stab wounds. Knives had been nonetheless lodged in his neck and eye. He was pronounced useless on the scene.
Kristopher later turned himself in on the Byram Police Division. Following his confession, he was taken into custody. The incident shocked the neighborhood, as Kenneth was paralyzed and unable to defend himself.
In courtroom, Kristopher was sentenced to 40 years in jail, with 15 years suspended. He’ll serve 25 years within the Mississippi Division of Corrections, adopted by three years of post-release supervision.
