Mark Whalen has been with us for nearly 20 years, from the streets of Sydney, Australia to a brand new lifetime of a sculpture studio in Los Angeles. Now it’s time we’re with him: after shedding his residence within the Altadena hearth of January 2025, I bought in contact with Mark a couple of go to to The Unibrow’s Radio Juxtapoz, but in addition to compensate for an immersive, darkly humorous sequence of works he was creating. It felt like the appropriate time.
