    Black Man in Wheelchair Attacked by His Jewish Neighbor, Pushed to the Ground

    Nationwide — Troy McLeod, an African American man from Brooklyn, New York, who makes use of a wheelchair, was violently attacked by considered one of his Jewish neighbors whereas strolling his canine. The attacker, Levi Kabakov, allegedly attacked McLeod with a picket bench and block earlier than pushing him out of his wheelchair.

    McLeod stated the incident started when Kabakov, 30, claimed the canine had been bothering his youngsters.     Based on police, Kabakov struck McLeod with a picket block and a bench from his yard, then pushed him out of his wheelchair. Neighbors and bystanders tried to intervene however couldn’t cease the assault.

    Kabakov was arrested the following day and charged with second-degree assault and aggravated menacing. He was launched with out bail and is due again in courtroom on July 17.

    McLeod stated he hopes Kabakov is held accountable and hopes the incident serves as a reminder that violence isn’t the reply.

    “If you’re feeling a way, take a day trip, name somebody, you don’t have any trigger to ever violate somebody like that put your arms on somebody,” he stated.
