    Black Children’s Book Week, Now in Its Fourth Year, Continues to Center Black Joy

Chapman, Black Youngsters’s E-book Week (BCBW) is a worldwide celebration of Black kids and the facility of Black illustration in kids’s books.

    Chapman’s aim is to “increase the vibration on the planet” for Black kids and spotlight the facility of optimistic illustration. “Publishing kids’s books with Black protagonists is a type of activism as a result of it ensures that Black kids see themselves represented to allow them to develop each a love for studying and for themselves,” says Chapman. “Illustration issues as a result of it’s a protecting drive, as analysis reveals that optimistic illustration will increase Black kids’s vanity, and helps shield them from the influence of racism.”
