Audien has introduced his long-awaited sophomore album, First Love, his first full-length mission in six years. Due out in September 2025 by way of Armada, it is his first album since 2019’s Escapism.
Celebrating the announcement at the moment, Audien dropped a brand-new single, “Slide Away,” an evocative home anthem made in collaboration with MAKJ and Julia Church. Pushed by the latter’s effervescent vocal efficiency, the luxurious progressive home monitor explores emotional progress with a euphoric, upbeat twist.
“It’s an “I-love-you-but-I-need-to-chase-something-else” tune – outgrowing somebody however realizing better love lies forward,” says Julia Church. “I liked working collectively on this, it looks like the right mix of us all musically.”
The idea for First Love was sparked throughout a dialog on tour when somebody informed him his melodies encapsulate the extreme emotions related to experiencing a primary love, in accordance with a press launch issued by Armada. The album, the label added, is Audien’s “most private and connective work to this point.”
