Nationwide — Hip-hop influencer and podcaster DJ Akademiks faces backlash after a live-stream podcast caught him making disturbing feedback to a 15-year-old moderator. The Breakfast Membership later aired the audio, and Twitch eliminated his account for violating its insurance policies.
Throughout a latest livestream, DJ Akademiks requested a 15-year-old boy graphic and inappropriate questions, as reported by Fox LA. He first requested if dwell streamer PlaqueBoyMax may seduce him. When the teenager instantly mentioned no, DJ Akademiks continued pushing.
“If [PlaqueBoyMax] bought a sister and he or she threw you the field, would you smash?” he requested.
“No, as a result of I’m 15,” the teenager responded.
“What that imply?” DJ Akademiks requested.
“She’s above 18,” the teenager mentioned. “It [would be] grooming.”
Days later, The Breakfast Membership broadcasted the audio, with co-host Loren LoRosa calling the alternate “bizarre, to say the least.” Different hosts praised the teenager for standing his floor.
“That’s a clever little 15-year-old,” Charlamagne tha God mentioned.
“He was very sensible,” LoRosa added.
After the incident, Twitch eliminated DJ Akademiks’ account, citing violations of group tips.
In a separate livestream, DJ Akademiks admitted his mistake, calling it a “teachable second.” He said, “I’m incorrect. I shall be higher. Hopefully, individuals can study from this complete little scandal with me.”
As of now, legislation enforcement has not launched any statements concerning potential authorized actions towards DJ Akademiks associated to the incident.
