Nationwide — Kimberly Ann Charlton, a 66-year-old lady from Cedar Falls, Iowa, is dealing with a first-degree homicide cost after allegedly capturing her husband within the again when he threatened to hurt their canine throughout a home dispute.
Police had been referred to as to the couple’s house on Wednesday evening after stories of a capturing. They discovered 72-year-old David Alan Charlton lifeless inside the home. His spouse, Kimberly Charlton, was arrested on the scene.
Based on WSMV, the couple had been arguing in a bed room when David tried to bodily assault Kimberly. Their canine reportedly intervened. David then left the room, grabbed a cane, and threatened to hit the canine.
As David adopted the canine down the hallway, Kimberly reportedly took a handgun from a Crown Royal bag and pointed it at David’s again. She advised police she warned him to cease. When he didn’t, she shot him.
Kimberly admitted to capturing him. She now faces a first-degree homicide cost, which carries a compulsory life sentence in Iowa if convicted.
