After a six-year hole between full-length releases, Kai Wachi has introduced his sophomore album, NEKROSIS.

Particulars are scarce at the moment, however the album’s title suggests a continued exploration of the darkish, transformative themes which have outlined Wachi’s creative trajectory. Recognized for his fusion of bone-rattling bass, Wachi has constructed a faithful following by means of his distinctive sound, which balances aggression and haunting melodic parts with lyrical themes like inner battle and transcendence.

Scheduled for launch on June thirteenth by way of Black Tiger Intercourse Machine’s Kannibalen Data, it is the dubstep and bass music star’s first album since 2019’s debut DEMIGOD LP. From mythology to pathology, DEMIGOD examined the elevation of mortal to mythic stature whereas its successor seems to reference mobile dying, maybe symbolizing a shedding of outdated identities or a inventive rebirth.

Wachi has launched two singles thus far in 2025, channeling his lure roots for “Drown” earlier than teaming up with Aaron Richards for “Hold Onto Me,” a hovering melodic bass monitor. Each will seem on NEKROSIS alongside collaborations with Level North, Trella and Julienne By, amongst others.
